The man behind every scene on the 'result day'

It was the evening of 3rd Feb. 2011 when wbut declared its result but was not available for students. With lots of humors going around, the excitement was on its optimum level. Then came the big man 'SANJEEV' (ECE, 4th yr, 2011, JIS Hostel) came in action and randomly discovered the JIS login ID and password for wbut website. Surprisingly, it was the correct one and therefore everyone of us got our result before time.

Brand new TV for our Hostel !!

We feel very happy to announce that a brand new Sansui TV has been purchased by us. The TV is coupled with a Videocon DTH as well for digital picture. The purchase has been made on Dhanteras (Diwali), keeping the forthcoming Cricket World Cup in mind. 

The credit goes to all the contributors right from first years to final year students.H

Hope we have some good times on our new TV...

What a football match in our hostel !!

Our Hostel witnessed a football match on Saturday afternoon which was perhaps the first of its kind. It was raining heavily and the boys made no mistake to take the advantage of it. Almost everyone jumped into the ground to show their perfection in the game.

The peculiar things about this unique football match were:-
1. No one knew the team for which they were playing!
2. All players were the captain!
3. There were some fake injuries!
4. When they had injuries, they ignored it !


And most importantly all the goals were scored on only one goal post!!!!

The positive aspect which came out of this football match was that all seniors and juniors were on the same platform which is an unusual scene these days. However, the cricket pitch which was completed this morning was washed out by cracking shots of our Pele, Maradona, Ronaldo, Messi and etc. But above all the our respected footballers enjoyed the rain and the water logged ground.


Hope we can post some news about the forthcoming cricket series on the pitch mentioned above.!!

Harendra and Sanjeev completed BSNL training

Sachin's Birthday Celebrated

Perhaps for the first time in the history of JIS Hostel, the birthday Sachin Tendulkar was celebrated on 24th April 2010. Everybody joined the party with great zeal and excitement as it was an auspicious occasion for them and their favorite little Master. To salute the world's greatest batsman, a cake mentioning his 200 against SA was bought.

The occasion went perfect in the lights of guys like Aditya, Alok, Anjan, Devendra, Jaspreet, Manjeet, Pankaj, Rishikesh, Sanjeev, Sanju, Sudip and others. We hope to continue this celebration every year and expect the forthcoming batches to do the same.
